This past weekend I had the honor of performing as Mickey in Larry Kramer's play, The Normal Heart. This amazing love story is set New York City in the early 1980's during the beginning of the AIDS/HIV Epidemic. A group of wonderful activists work to fight for their lives and the lives of their friends while their city refuses to help them.

This project is so near and dear to my heart. I had an amazing time telling this story and I'm even more touched by the response we received from our community. My fellow performers were stunning and I'm in awe of their passion and talent everyday. Liz Farrow, worlds best slay-ge manager, I will be asking for you at every theatre I perform in from now on. I want to also thank Oklahoma City University for producing this show, and helping to tell this important story.

Overwhelmingly, however, I want to shower Casey Kassal with praise and thanks for directing this show and allowing me to play such an interesting and complex character.

I'm so happy this could be my last show here at OCU. A wonderful note to end a beautiful song.
