This past weekend I had the great pleasure of playing DAD for my friend's staged reading. Oklahoma City University has an awesome group on campus called, "The Shadow Collective", that helps students write and perform their own works. Jonah Muscarella wrote an amazing 1 Act that I got to help bring to life! The short show runs about 25 mins and discusses self love and complex reletionships of family through the lense of a Trans man stuck in the Dead Zone of Everest. The piece was so well written and I was so happy to be able to tell such an awesome story. I cannot wait to see where this piece ends up in the future but seeing ones own work on stage is such an awesome feeling and I for one cannot wait to do something like this for myself one day. I love writing I just can't find the courage to finish anything outside of a stand up set. Until next time! (11/22/21)
